Ramdev said that he is pressurising government for the construction of Ram temple
Speaking on the issue of Ram Mandir, Ramdev said that the Ram temple row can only be resolved by introducing a law in the country's parliament.
Speaking to the media, Ramdev said, "The Mandir issue has been going on in the court for a long time and now Parliament needs to play a key role in this matter."
He added: "The issue of construction of Ram Mandir is not a political issue, but it's an issue related to the nation's self respect and dignity."
He said that he is pressurising the central government for the construction of Ram temple.
Speaking on the coming general elections, Baba Ramdev said that he will not be politically active for any party.
An overview of the local body elections in the state: - A total of 23.53 lakh voters consisting of 12.20 lakh male and 11.33 lakh female will seal the fate of 4,978 candidates contesting in the polls across the state.
- The elections are being held in 84 local bodies.
- Polling held at 1064 wards for the mayoral seats across the Himalayan state. For the first time, Rishikesh and Kotdwar witnessed mayoral polls.
- Uttarakhand witnessed polling at 2,665 booths spread across 1,258 polling centres.
- This election could be seen as a fight for dominance between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposition Congress in the hilly state.
The counting of votes will be held on November 20.
