MNF has already said that it will not have BJP's presence
"We don't need support from any other party because MNF has won with majority," said Aithamga, member of the political affairs committee (PAC) MNF.
BJP won a single seat in the state. MNF has already said that it will not have BJP's presence in the Mizoram cabinet despite MNF being a part of the BJP-led forum North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA).
BJP is currently ruling seven northeast states out of eight.
MNF will fight the upcoming Lok Sabha elections independently, Aithamga said.
Referring to BJP, Aithamga said, "They can fight it alone, no one knows if they will win or not," adding that Mizo people do not endorse RSS ideology.
Christians constitute around 87 per cent of the population of Mizoram, according to the 2011 census.
Commenting on the elections, general-secretary of MNF K. Vanlalvena said that they expected more seats. He added that his party would fulfill all the promises including the promise of "transparent and corruption-free government".
During the campaign, MNF party raised the issue of the liquor permit. MNF also alleged that the chief minister and his younger brother were involved in corruption and that all the major contracts have been allegedly given to outsiders Mizo firms deprived of the benefits.
