Nagaon Superintendent of Police S.B. Raimedhi said that the woman has submitted a letter saying that she wants to withdraw the FIR against the Union Minister.
"The woman lodged an FIR based on which we have registered a case under sections 417, 376 and 506 of the IPC. However, she has now submitted a letter saying that the FIR was lodged due to some misunderstanding and that she wants to withdraw the case," said Raimedhi.
"
But, we are going ahead as per law. We have recorded her statement and will conduct medical examination. We will also interrogate the accused if required," he added.
