Reportedly, naxal commander Sidhu Koda surrounded the village late night with his gang of around 15 members. He began firing at a house accusing them of being informers.



The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Osman Ansari and Mohammed Ghulam.

In an attempt to save the husband during the firing, the deceased's wife was also shot by the naxals. She is undergoing treatment in the hospital, police said.

Post the incident, naxals fired several rounds and pasted posters to instill fear in the people. The poster read as: This is the punishment for being police informers.

A police investigation is underway.
